"American Psycho" Kole Tallman
Portrait of Patrick Bateman from Mary Harron’s movie adaptation of American Psycho, by Bret Easton Ellis
My Portrait started with basic shading rules, starting with darker base colors on the bottom and moving towards lighter colors. The artwork represents the same motive the book carries, the conformity and unrealistic life lived by the protagonist, and the general promotion of materialism in 90’s wall street. Finding colors that work well together while also creating the contrast that I wanted. I kept the face a darker brown gray tone while highlighting the suit and suspenders to symbolize the materialistic lifestyle of Patrick Bateman. It doesn't really fit in a category, it's semi realistic and abstract.
My piece depicts tanjiro from demon slayer in a "Flame Teqnicque from the show
